新型コロナウイルス（COVID-19）は、2019年12月に中国の武漢で最初の症例が報告されて以来、世界中に急速に広がっています。症状がない感染者がパンデミックに重要な役割を果たしていると考えられているが、どの程度無症状の患者がいるのかは不明である。
無症候性の人はCOVID-19感染の約40％から45％を占め、14日以上の長期間にわたって他の人にウイルスを感染させる可能性がある。
